BANKSY MUSEUM
Location
Banksy Museum - Rue de Laeken 28, 1000 Bruxelles

Banksy is mostly known as an elusive, enigmatic street artist, but according to banksyexplained.com he is also known as a Guerilla Artist, Muralist, Studio Artist Activist, Philanthropist, Humanitarian, Show Producer, Film Director, Writer, Urban Poet, Provocateur, Humorist and Philosopher and yet he has chosen to remain anonymous. Plenty of reasons to learn more about him. The new Banksy Museum in Brussels is in a 19th century building that used to be ‘La Tentation’ - a fabric shop that later became a venue for cultural events.

The Banksy Museum offers an immersive experience of a large collection of mostly reproduced Banksy pieces from around the world, as well as some of his works that have disappeared. There is even a set of The Walled Off Hotel he created in Bethlehem we could stroll through.

Banksy mostly uses a technique that combines spray paint and stencilling to create his ironic, often humorous images that convey a critical commentary on current political affairs and consumerism.

The Banksy Museum is located in Rue de Laeken 28, 1000 Bruxelles and opens every day from 10 am until 19 pm. Warmly recommended.
